Molly has acquired a healthy set of lungs and knows how to use them. Everyone is hoping to be moved upstairs to a real bed. Kevin even said he was going up to kick someone out of a bed. Ha, ha... sort of. The hospital is in the midst of a major renovation with drilling and hammering shockingly loud. We all long for the quiet of Mineral. Discharge seems tantalizingly close.
To find out about our current digs at the Ronald McDonald House, click on the link.A couple of funny notes.... Organic eaters, Kevin and Mary, are staying at the Ronald McDonald House. Nicholaus calls it the Old MacDonald House. You know...Old MacDonald Had A Farm. It actually is an amazing place. It is not fancy, but is a good place to be while a child is at Stanford. The boys are outside playing on multiple play structures and riding tricycles. We have a simple room, an assigned refrigerator, and an assigned cupboard. Dishes, pots and pans, and silverware are provided. For Father's Day, there was a cookie decorating station. Activities are scheduled nearly every day of the month. All for $10 per night. I don't recommend trying to stay here (ha, that's a joke), but it is good under the circumstances.
Getting access is sketchy when you are on the road. I will try to keep updates coming on a daily basis, but... no promises.
Stay healthy and stay happy!
